Together with Peter Kok (eScience Center Netherlands) and Javier Garcia-Bernardo (Utrecht University), we created the Geoflow Visualizer – a tool to track, visualize, and analyze different types of cross-border flows. It is free, easy and intuitive to use and comes with a set of built-in analysis and export functions.
You can find the tool here: Link.
The Geoflow Visualizer can be used to analyze trade, investment, or other (cross-border) economic data. It is also possible to visualize migration or knowledge flows, and other types of political and sociological data.
The website comes with two pre-installed datasets that can be used for testing the Geoflow Visualizer.
The source code is openly available and can be modified and used freely. Check the GitHub page for more info and documentation (including a manual for using the tool): Link.
If you happen to use the tool, please give us feedback at babic[at]ruc.dk – this would be much appreciated!
The development of this tool was funded by the Dutch eScience Center and ODISSEI under the project ID ODISSEI.2021.008.
